Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn was born in the United States. She is best known for her part as Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Alongside her roles as Martha Bullock and Jean Ward, she has appeared in The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in Love with Acting in the Preparatory stage before moving with her family to Ohio. Anna attended the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University. Anna started her acting career in Chicago-area theatres for a short time. After that, she switched to TV and film. In 1992, Anna got her first major part in the role of Arden in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest Actor in a variety of TV Shows and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 1990's, she was chosen to play Jean Ward as part of The Practice. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. Skyler was her role on Breaking Bad. Sully and Deadwood were also the highlights of her work. Gunn appeared on stage in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. In addition, she played in Numbered Day, a podcast consisting of four audio dramas. The love story with Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the narrative of Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and eventually its demise echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final years of life.
