Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, popularly referred to as Ashanti was born on 13 October 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. Ashanti is an United States singer, songwriter and actor. Ashanti was famous when she was when she was a teen. In 2002, she signed with Murder Inc. Records. That that same year, she was included on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? track and Ja Rule's Always on Time track. Both of them became massive hits.
